About COLORMASTERS

Originally from Southern California, owner Steve Coletti became interested in cars when his father, "Smokey" Joe Coletti, turned his passion for drag racing into a successful business.

In his teens, in the early 70's, Steve did his first "candy apple" paint job. Although he had to creatively cover his mistakes by putting designs over them, he won a 1st Place in Street Custom in a San Bernardino show. He has since gone on to win numerous Best Paint and Best of Show awards, along with two world record sales at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance.

In the early '80's, Steve moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, where he now resides with his wife and two kids.

COLORMASTERS includes the customer in all aspects of the vehicle's buildup. We take daily pictures of progress that we can email, plus keep a daily log of time and materials. At the completion of the job, we present a complete album with pictures and written description of all work performed. A complete restoration can take four to six months.

We can work on your existing vehicle, or build one from the ground up. We can include all body work, painting, engine, suspension, exhaust, wiring, interior (our Upholsterer has had forty years of experience), and even chroming. Oh, yes, we should mention—we love flame jobs!
